From dial-up to wireless

From the title, I guess you guys know what i'm going to talk about.

Lets talk about.... "INTERNET" (mcm kan speech aku aaa..)

I started to use this internet when I was still 11 years old, form 1 masih. Haha.. Started to chat di MIRC, then to MSN sampailah signed up di Friendster. Di MIRC, i joined the MS group, Brunei apa.. I got to know new friends even people outside Brunei, age 30+ included. Lol.Sakai banar dulu atu. Maklum baru masih. Manakan.

Iatah, starting from the day I know the existence of this internet thingy, I went online almost everyday which was obviously after school lah cos masa form 1, ptg ada ugama lagi. Lol. And dulu atu lagi online pakai apanah? Pakai dial-up! Haha, mana ada wireless, bluetooth ani. Mobile pun alum secanggih sekarang.

What does it mean by dial-up? Dial-up means you have to buy either Simpur or Netkad card and use it to go online, pakai telephone line. I often use Simpur dulu. Ada $5 for 3hrs, $10 for 7hrs and $25 for 20 hours. I used this dial-up thing till form 5. Imagine how much I had spent on buying those dial-up cards. Membazir me dulu atu. And oh i even collect the cards as part of my hobby, till now masih ada. Dikira-kira I had spent approximately a thousand plus on buying those cards. Ish ish ish.. And yang calinya lagi, I bought the cards using coins in my tabung, for example twenty-five 20cents coins for $5. I even used yang 5 cents 5cents. Bekarih jua tu. (Duit pacah ku nada lagi, abis Hahaha).. Beli di kadai kaling pulang tu. Mun kadai Hua-Ho, membari malu. Lol.

Now inda lagi lah. I save my money quite a lot with the existence of the "sophisticated" mobile phones *eseh* in which I just have to spend just a few cents to go online msn-ing and check fs, fb, emel as well as multiply using the opera mini.

Furthermore, we also can go online using our lappy with the help of USB and bluetooth using handphone through either DST or BMobile. Even you can sign up for E-speed at TelBru or the recent ones DST GO! broadband and BMobile Zoom Broadband. But.. I don't need those. Mahal masih. I don't want to burden my parents for paying the monthly payments. Wait till I get a job and ada own money, barutah kali.

Masani pun ada dah Wi-Fi spots where you can go online, examples Coffee Zone, Paul and Elizabeth, Gripps Cafe and CheezBox. (Oh yeah, di Cheezbox ada PCs, isn't that kewl? You don't have to bring your lappy if you think nyusahkan ja, hehe) You just need to bring your laptop and buy drinks sana and sit as long as you want.

Wah, you see, how much things have changed. Modern world lah katakan. Imagine the next generation, modern lagi kali eh.
